Our organic recycling drop of yard is open to the public. However, there are times when space becomes limited. When this happens, we will limit contractor dumping to only those who purchase product from us. Feel free to call with any questions.

Dumping Regulations

Accepted Items:

  • Cleans organic yard waste
  • Trees
  • Shrubs
  • Branches
  • Logs*
  • Stumps (temporarily not accepting stumps)
  • We DO accept topsoil, sod and edgings but they must be separate from wood loads. Please see the office for directions where to dump this material.

*Any logs larger than a 10″ diameter should be cut into 8′ lengths

We DO NOT Accept:

  • Grass clippings
  • Painted or varnished wood
  • Plywood
  • Pressure treated wood
  • Railroad ties
  • Telephone poles
  • Wood containing metals
  • Any kind of trash, including plastic, paper, glass, lunch waste (water bottles, cans)
  • Landscape fabric
  • Wood loads mixed with rocks, soil, edgings, or rootballs
  • Stump grindings
  • Construction & demolition waste
  • Wood chips ( temporarily)

Additional Dumping Regulations

We are a permitted site and must follow DEP and local regulations to be able to operate in this township. Please read the above list of unacceptable items and refrain from dumping these items in our yard. Any unauthorized dumping will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Thank you for your cooperation.

Any loads containing any of the unacceptable material will be considered contaminated loads and refused. Anyone dumping contaminated loads will risk losing their right to dump here. Please use honesty and integrity when dumping at our site. Do not hide unacceptable material under loads or dump after hours. Loads must be inspected and paid for at the office BEFORE unloading. Any loads containing stumps and brush will be charged as a stump load. We reserve the right to refuse any load. Entering the yard or dumping after hours will be considered trespassing. Any contaminated loads may be taken to a local landfill or a transfer station such as Berky’s Transfer.

We have a payment drop box with envelopes next to the office door (to be used if no one is in the office). Pay in the dropbox with cash or checks made payable to “Hopewell Farms, Inc”.
