The Hopewell Farms Difference

What sets Hopewell Farms apart from many mulch yards is that we produce all of our organic products on site. This way we are able to control the cost and quality of our products.

From the moment the material is dropped off at our yard, or material that is brought in from land clearing jobs, or material sourced from local sawmills – it must pass our inspection before the recycling process begins.

We offer several types of mulch, compost products, and screened and blended soils. Material can be picked up or delivery can be arranged – From 2 yards (minimum purchase for delivery to a homeowner), or several hundred yards to a job site or garden center.

Call us to place an order, or better yet, you can visit our shop and chances are you will be able to see our recycling process in operation. Remember, quality products and no middle man makes a difference!

Who We Are

Hopewell Farms, Inc. is a family owned and operated business located between Pottstown, Boyertown, and Reading. We employ local people and because of their dedication and loyalty, we’ve been able to continue to grow our business and produce and deliver quality landscape supplies.

Our History

We began in the tree nursery business back in 1973. We started selling trees and shrubs out of our backyard near Hopewell Village, which is where the name Hopewell Nursery originated. We continued in the nursery and garden center business for the next 40 years, until 2013, when we decided to close the doors of our retail business. We downsized and changed directions, buying equipment to do land clearing work, wood grinding and mulch production. This area became our focus, and we decided to sell screened soil, and compost. In 2022, we again started planting trees on our farm.

This brings us to where we are today: Offering custom wood grinding, land clearing, mulch manufacturing, and landscape products (which are for sale at our location at 172 Fancy Hill Rd, Boyertown). By planting trees once again, we feel we have come full circle to where my parents began in their backyard so many years ago.
